ABOUT
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
I have many years’ experience working in education as a teacher, leader and inspector. I worked as one of Her Majesty’s Inspectors (HMI) from 2014 to 2017. During this time, I developed a wide range of experience and skill related to inspection and education improvement. This included leading school inspections and carrying out monitoring visits of primary and secondary schools as well as leading SEND area inspections. Whilst working as an HMI I also took on the role of Ofsted National Lead for Design and Technology. Prior to joining Ofsted I worked as a senior adviser for a local authority leading on 14 to 19 strategy. I also have considerable experience of working in secondary school, including holding middle and senior leadership responsibilities.
Philosophy
The most effective change happens when people are given ownership of the process and decision making. The consultancy I provide is always tailored to the client’s specific needs. I will work alongside you to provide the right balance of support and challenge needed to create a lasting impact, securing the best possible outcomes for children and young people.
LOCATION
I am based in north London so predominantly support clients in London and the home counties. However, I am able to travel further afield or provide desk-based support.
